Ultrasonic Cleaning
For film that is either new or in reasonable condition, our ultrasonic film cleaning machines play an important role in ensuring the film is absolutely clean before the telecine transfer process can take place. Ultrasonic film cleaning also plays an integral role in the 'Glass Wheel Polishing' and 'Re Wash' processes. This is a non-contact film cleaning method for the removal of surface dust and dirt left behind after negative cutting or telecine grading, due to the static properties of film stock. This cleaning method incorporates the use of ultrasonic sound waves to shake loose dirt from the film surface, and perchloroethylene, a spirit-based chemical for the removal of grease and general handling marks.
